Harwick Standard Distribution Corporation To Market Dow TYRIN™ Produced in Europe

harwick_ISOAkron, OH (January 19, 2009) - Harwick Standard Distribution Corporation, the authorized North American distributor for TYRIN™ Chlorinated Polyethylene made by the Dow Chemical Company, is pleased to announce they will now market select TYRIN grades produced at the Dow plant in Stade, Germany.

This follows the December announcement that Dow would no longer produce CPE in their Plaquemine, Louisiana plant. Building on the strength of a 25-year relationship between Harwick and Dow, Harwick will now manage all support for the TYRIN product line in North America.

"This is a great opportunity for both Harwick and our customers to continue the benefit of working with a quality product and producer," said Ernest Pouttu, President and CEO of Harwick Standard.
